Fishing kings in 50-62 feet of water, down 40-45 feet. White on white is working real well as well as the trash can dodger with blue fly. Keep the speed at 2.2-2.4 on your GPS. The speed will vary with the current changes. We are taking limit catches of Kings everyday. So get out and enjoy the outdoors today and take some one fishing.
As always, keep a tight line.

Catching Kings in 70 feet of water and some are in 130-150 feet. The fish are all along the shoreline from Oswego and around to the north. Blue flies are working well behind the trash can dodger. If you are using a dipsy put it back 300 feet on a number 3 setting. For the downrigger 64 feet is working. We still have a few open dates in Sept. due to cancellations so give me a call and come on up fishing.
As always, keep a tight line.

The salmon are still biting and the brown trout are also biting good. it seems that the salmon move around sometimes they are in 150 feet of water and the next day out in 300 feet. So we have to look each day. E-chips with the proctologist fly from Big Weenie is working good. Also the Blue Mirage fly is working and spoons are working. The black and silver NK 28 with green overlay has been working.
The brown trout like the yellow natural born killer spoon. The browns have been hanging in 49 feet of water on the bottom.
So get your boat out of the moth balls and go fishing.

May 31, 2007
Ok here it is the end of May and the fishing has slowed for the brown trout the last 10 days the cause is I think the lake is started to work and the fish are on the move. Some good steelhead fishing has taken place on given days. One day you will get them in 75 ft of water the next you will be in 200 ft you will get them down to 30ft and use a lot of red spoons.
Good luck and keep your tip up

May 15, 2007
Ok the fishing is still hot for browns, some days better than the next that may be due to the wind that day but still from Sandy pond to west of Oswego the browns are there. Fri we got a king about 14 to 16lbs and the weekend seen more kings and some cohos salmon and rainbows, also red and gold is a hot color now and you can get fish in 6ft of water or out to 80ft if the water in close is clear fish deeper but if you get a mud line fish it hard the browns will come.
Good fishing, good luck, and good friends makes a good day

May 6, 2007
Ok the fishing has to be the best I seen in years maybe back as far as 1993 browns are every where from sandy pond to west of Oswego from 8ft of water to 60 ft from the top to 30ft down. The best colors have been green, black and white, black and sliver, that not to say others won't work just mix it up and hold on they will come. Just remember to have fun and than catch some fish, stay safe and we will see you on the water.

April 24, 2007
Ok the fishing on Fri. and Sat. was great with limits of browns that came to the net fish were for 2 to 9lbs we fished the east side of the power plant in 13 ft. of water down riggers were set 5 down and 70ft back flat lines were out 100ft and just about anything was working.Sun. the lake went flat and the sun was up and the fishing was slow but I think it will pick up this week because the sun is going to stay in most of the time.
So put the work aside and tell the wife your going fishing or just take her with you but get the lines wet and catch some fish.

April 15, 2007
OK the boat is in the water and everything is a go the good news is that the brown trout are biting just out side our river in 8 to 12 ft of water small stick baits and on the down riggers larger spoons are working, so all and all thing are looking good with lots of runoff from all the snow stands for brown trout.
Stay safe and good fishing,
Capt. Joe

Lots of Salmon being caught from 60-120 feet of water down around the thermal cline. This seems to change daily. Cut bait and pro chips are working great as well as some spoons. Limited catches of fish are being caught frequently. Its been good fishing.Today 8/31 there was a hard blow so we will have to look for the kings tommorrow because they will be scattered. Remember keep what you are going to eat and release the rest of the fish for another days catch.
Take care and good fishing.

Catching Salmon in 80-110 feet of water. We are fishing 70-80 feet down. Jplugs, green cut bait rigs, and echips with flies off the dipsies are working. In the morning the best colors are silver & green & white. The dipsies are 150-260 feet back on a 2.5 setting. The fish are scattered from Oswego to Sandy Pond. The wind has been a big factor the last couple of days, with bigger waves
Take care and good fishing

Spoons have been working, along with cut bait and some flies. Also still catching some Brown Trout. Remember a good day fishing is better than any day at work.
Take care and enjoy your day. |

July 13, 2005
Fishing has been good to excellent. With Kings and browns coming to the boat. The largest King so far has been 28 lbs, with the average 20-25 lbs. The thermocline is down around 74 feet, so browns are a few feet above it and the kings are under it around 81-90 feet down. Cut bait with green bait heads has been working the best along with the blue angel. The browns have been coming on Stinger spoons, the natural born killer spoon has been working really well.
Have great fishing, stay safe and keep a tight line. |

July 6, 2005

June 9 2005
Well it had to happen things have slowed down due to the water warming up to fast and the lake is starting to roll over.
Most fish are comeing down 30 to 60 ft over 50 to 70ft of water, the forg stinger has been good and silver and green stingers start 40ft in back of the ball and as the sun comes up put them back to 90 ft, watch your speed we got fish as slow as 1.8 mph.
Good fishing and keep ypur tip up. |
 |
May 30 2005
Brown trout fishing still remains good. We did have 2 days without limit catches but I think it was do to all the boat traffice from the holiday weekend. We are still catching browns in 11-8- feet of water. Stinger lures and Smithwick body baits are doing the best. If you are fishing deeper than 20 feet, put your lures 40 feet behind the ball.
Good luck & tight lines and stay safe. |
 |
May 14 2005
Catching limit each trip of Brown trout in shallow water. Also catching some king salmon in 100-120 feet down 45 feet on stinger lures.
